We are honoured to host this special edition book offered by Vanessa Kennedy from Red Quills. This event will highlight Red Quill's Indigenous book club which meets once a month to discuss narratives and stories written by Indigenous authors. The purpose of the book club is to discuss Indigenous narratives with an Indigenous lead to assist and support questions and perspectives of the books. It is a few steps on the path of reconciliation with non-Indigenous readers to explore; hidden truths, pasts, worldviews, spirituality, interconnection to the land, and present issues of Indigenous life due to colonization of a nation that was almost eradicated off their homeland of turtle island. All are welcome to attend. For more information, visit Red Quills site.
* Please note this is primarily an in-person event. If you are unable to attend in person, but would like to join online, please indicate this in the registration form. A link will be sent to you from Red Quills before the event.
