Gathering PlaceFun filled celebration of Islamic Heritage brought to you by Culture days from the City of Barrie. Where families are encourage to create, discover and learn together.
Join us for a free, fun-filled family celebration of Islamic heritage and the rich diversity of Muslim cultures from around the world!
Explore hands-on cultural activities, creative art, STEM discovery, storytelling, and culinary traditions.
Families can travel through the Muslim World Passport Adventure, create a collaborative Community Mosaic, explore Islamic art and architecture, discover Muslim inventors, try the Guess the Spice Challenge, enjoy cultural refreshments, and experience traditional henna art and live Arabic calligraphy. Children, youth, families, newcomers, and community members of all backgrounds are welcome to learn, create, connect, and celebrate together.
Downtown Branch
Our Downtown Branch is centrally located in the Downtown core at the corner of Worsley and Owen Streets. The building and facilities are fully accessible. Enjoy a beverage or a small snack from our Café located inside the lobby, use our complimentary wifi, experiment with technology and maker tools, or soak up the sun on our Rooftop Reading Garden.
