Join our local authors for lightning book talks to discover a new author to read or whose book you can gift! See what our local used bookstore has by local authors and for writers and local historians.

10am-12pm - Kids and Teen Authors
- 10-11:30 - Picture Book Readings at the Picture Book Stage. Teen Readings at the Main Stage. Meet young local authors and ask them how you might get a book published too!

1-4pm - Adult Authors
- 1-3:30 - Local Author Readings at the Main Stage. Learn about your next great read and then go buy or borrow it!

Our Painswick Branch is located in the south end of Barrie, near the corner of Big Bay Point Road and Yonge Street. The building and facilities are fully accessible. Enjoy the bright and sunny reading lounge, use our complimentary wifi, experiment with technology and maker tools, or book a room for your next event.
