Massie Family Community RoomParents Against Racism host a collection of self-guided gallery stations that celebrate Black excellence through the stories, achievements, and contributions of Black people past and present.
Each station will feature individuals such as Black leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, educators, advocates, innovators, historical figures, and youth changemakers. Through photographs, artwork, cultural displays, and QR codes, participants will be able to access stories and profiles that highlight each person’s experiences and accomplishments.
The gallery will be highly interactive and designed for all ages. Participants will receive either an Adult & Youth Passport or a Primary Age Explorer Passport and complete activities as they move through the gallery. An environmentally friendly digital version of the activity will also be available online.
Painswick Branch
Our Painswick Branch is located in the south end of Barrie, near the corner of Big Bay Point Road and Yonge Street. The building and facilities are fully accessible. Enjoy the bright and sunny reading lounge, use our complimentary wifi, experiment with technology and maker tools, or book a room for your next event.
