About the Presenter:
John Wilmot has been fascinated by the stars and constellations since childhood, a passion that continues to grow through active observing and sharing the wonders of the night sky. He is a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and has completed both the Explore the Universe and Messier Objects observing programs. John is also an active member and presenter with the Barrie Astronomy Club, where he helps foster community interest in astronomy. This past summer, he served as the Astronomer in Residence at Killarney Provincial Park, leading public outreach programs under some of Ontario's most spectacular dark skies.
