Participate in an outdoor exploration of Lake Simcoe and its watershed for caregivers and their children ages 9-12. Registration required, 3 part workshop series. Register for one, or all three!
Barrie Public Library and the Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition invite you to explore Lake Simcoe and its watershed. Discover library books and digital resources about Lake Simcoe together at the Kiwanis Club Pavilion. Register for a library card and join the Summer Reading Club. Observe plants and animals along the shoreline and dip net in the creek with Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition. Create models of watersheds and wetlands and design related art activities under the shade of the Pavilion.
Activities will include:
• investigating plants and animals along the shoreline and in the river
• dip netting in the creek
• creating watershed and wetland models
• art activities
This program will be taking place at the Kiwanis Club Pavilion at Allandale Park in close proximity to the Southshore Community Centre.
