The Barrie Public Library is thrilled to be hosting our 18th annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, August 20, 2022! We look forward to seeing teams return to the water for a renewed sense of unity, while raising funds for local charitable organizations - including the Barrie Public Library! If you are interested in registering as a new team, paddler or volunteering your time, please join us or this informal virtual Information Night where event staff will give an overview of the event and be available to answer questions. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our community in countless ways. As eager as we are to reconnect members through the love of dragon boating, we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of those in attendance. The safety of our community and participants is always at the forefront of festival planning, and organizers continue to work closely with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit to follow all health and safety measures.
