Have you looked around your home lately and realized that your family history research project has gotten out of hand? Are you finding research material all over the place? Or perhaps you are new to genealogy and looking for ways to organize the information you are finding. If so, this talk will help bring order to your family history research. During the discussion we will touch on topics such as beginning, starting over or weeding out, organization basics, the research checklist, creating your plan, logging what you find, knowing where you found it, paper versus digital, various types of computer systems, and future proofing your project. While there is no right or wrong way to go about bringing order to your family history research project, hopefully this talk will inspire you to organize what you have in order to determine your next steps.
We want to improve, to serve you better. Please take a moment to complete our Program Evaluation Form.
