Non-members are welcome to drop-in, however please register if you wish to be critiqued (see contact name below). This group meets the 2nd Monday from 6:30-8:30pm and 4th Monday from 6:00-8:30pm, holidays may affect dates.

Second Mondays: Critiques. Non-members please register by contacting thebarriewritersclub@gmail.com, to be critiqued in the first hour. Drop-ins welcome but may not be critiqued. Last hour members will be critiqued.
Fourth Mondays: We will be discussing a topic of choice.

September 28: Calling all writers! If you've been hitting a dry spell in your writing (better known as writer's block), come and join the Barrie Writers' Club for a spontaneous prompt-writing session to kickstart your creativity. And even if your work is flowing, prompt writing can always spark new ideas. Whether you write novels, short stories, non-fiction, poems, memoirs, essays, or anything else, we can help bring your inspirations to life.
Newcomers are welcome to bring in short pieces for critiquing as well.

Downtown Branch
Our Downtown Branch is centrally located in the Downtown core at the corner of Worsley and Owen Streets. The building and facilities are fully accessible. Enjoy a beverage or a small snack from our Café located inside the lobby, use our complimentary wifi, experiment with technology and maker tools, or soak up the sun on our Rooftop Reading Garden.
