February is heart month, a time and opportunity to focus on what we can do to improve our heart health.
Join us to kickstart your journey to better heart health! This presentation will provide an overview of key nutrition and lifestyle strategies that impact heart health including balanced meals, fibre, fats, and sodium. You will walk away with practical eating strategies and tips that support a healthier heart.
Our presenter, Sydney Lougheed, is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. She graduated from the University of Guelph where she studied human nutrition and later completed her Masters in Nutrition Communication at Toronto Metropolitan University. She teaches part-time at Georgian College and runs her own private practice where she provides one-on-one nutrition counselling to individuals living with prediabetes and diabetes.
