Learn to research your family history using the FamilySearch Research Wiki. This introduction will explain how the Wiki can provide you with genealogy links plus best places to look for genealogy guidance in countries around the world. Each page contains a ‘how to get started’ section, and the links provided are listed as either free or subscription websites or contact addresses. The FamilySearch Wiki is regularly updated, so even for countries you are currently researching you may find new, reliable, sources. A practical demonstration for a few countries will be given.

About Janet:
Janet Graham is a retired librarian who has presented genealogy workshops both at the library and in the community. She has a BA in Geography and a Masters in Library Science. She has been researching her own family, mostly in the UK, since her twenties. Janet has been a volunteer consultant at the Barrie Family History Centre for over a decade. During this time, she has assisted people in finding ancestors in many countries including: England, Ireland, Wales, Argentina, Slovakia, British India, Canada, and the USA.
Janet is currently working on compiling “interesting family history stories” at her eldest grand-daughter’s request.
