Bruce Meyer is author of 67 books (with nine more forthcoming by the end of 2022) of poetry, short stories, flash fiction, and non-fiction. He has had three national bestsellers (The Golden Thread, We Wasn't Pals, and Portraits of Canadian Writers). His short stories have won or been shortlisted for numerous international prizes including the Fish Fiction Prize (IRE), the Retreat West Fiction Prize (UK), the Anton Chekhov Prize (UK), the Tom Gallon Trust Fiction Prize (UK), the Bath Short Story Prize (UK), the Thomas Morton Prize (CAN), the Freefall Fiction Prize (CAN), the Carter V. Cooper Prize (CAN), the Strand International Short Fiction Prize (IND), and the London Independent Short Story Prize (UK).
He was the inaugural Poet Laureate of the City of Barrie (2010 to 2014), Artistic Director of the Leacock Summer Festival of Canadian Literature (1999 to 2008) in Orillia, and is currently a mentor in the BMO Mentorship Program with Exile Editions. His work was the subject of a course last year in the Publishing Practicum Program at the University of Windsor. He lives in Barrie and teaches at Georgian College.

Participating Libraries include; Barrie, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Essa, Innisfil, Midland, New Tecumseth, Ramara, and Wasaga Beach.
