Lara Lucretia Mrosovsky
Lara is a professional gardener who has been teaching and learning about growing food in small spaces since 2003. Her speciality is containers and rooftop gardens. Lara’s first self-published book, An Illustrated Guide to Growing Food on Your Balcony sold over 12,000 copies. Her recent book Grow Without A Garden: 101 Plants for Containers is a comprehensive reference for urban growers. For 9 years she coordinated the first intensive green roof atop a Community Health Centre in Ontario, where she established productive food gardens and award-winning community programs. Lara is also a visual artist who works in illustration and printmaking. Community engagement is central to both her gardening and her art practice. Lara co-founded Miinikaan Innovation & Design (www.miinikaan.com) in 2019.
