Gathering PlaceRelaxed afternoon of board and card games. Learn a new game, try a classic or bring your own.
Board and card games of all kinds will be available from the library's Games Collection including KingDomino, Forbidden Island, Sushi Go, Splendor, Karuba and Century: Spice Road. We also have classics like Cribbage, Checkers and Chess.
You can also bring along your own favourite game, as long as you’re willing to teach others how to play! Families and people of all ages are welcome.
Learn to play days:
- Thursday 25 April, 3:00pm - Century: Spice Road
- Saturday 27 April, 11.00 - 3.00 - Tabletop Day at the Library

Our Downtown Branch is centrally located in the Downtown core at the corner of Worsley and Owen Streets. The building and facilities are fully accessible. Enjoy a beverage or a small snack from our Café located inside the lobby, use our complimentary wifi, experiment with technology and maker tools, or soak up the sun on our Rooftop Reading Garden.
