Come and enjoy some relaxing music with musical artist Rebekah Hawker.
With roots in church choir harmonies and songwriting prowess built on a folk-rock adolescence, it’s not so surprising that Rebekah Hawker ultimately found herself at the intersection of country and folk, embracing the full spectrum the genres have to offer.
Hawker’s latest single “Ticket” is a classic midtempo country song about two things that never go out of style, in any genre: broken hearts and broken dreams. She sings of rogues and radio play but flips the script in a canny way, declaring a positive outlook despite the rest.
Rebekah's is an award winning songwriter with accolades collected from Folk Canada and the North Eastern Regional Folk Alliance. She was a selected participant in the RBC Music Entrepreneurship Program in 2023, and winner of Mariposa Folk Festival’s Emerging Artist Showcase in 2024.
Her music has been heard on The Strombo Show and other CBC Radio programming and her song “Ticket” can be heard on rotation on SiriusXM Radio.
Her sophomore EP, Quit My Habit, set for release in June 2025 with funding from the Ontario Arts Council, represents her most authentic and ambitious work yet.
