Having a blended family brings some unique issues and complexity to the estate planning process. Satisfying your wishes regarding how you want your assets to pass to your second spouse or your children from other relationships may mean giving up on certain tax planning options that are available to spouses. Your estate planning must be as unique as your family is and this program will discuss options to get you started.
Our presenter, Georgia Swan, C.S. LL.B.,TEP Vice President, Tax and Estate Planner, TD Wealth, was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994 and in her 30-year career, she has practiced in the areas of tax, estate planning and family law. She is a frequent speaker on estate planning and taxation issues and regularly appears on BNN Money Talks.
