Join our presenter, lawyer Tasha, as she explains the difference between a Power of Attorney, a Will, and how they work.
Forms to complete your own Power of Attorney for continuing care and for property will be provided. She will also be answering questions about the drafting of a simple Will.
Please note: we will not be assisting individuals in drafting wills at this session.
Tasha Schmidt is a staff lawyer with the Community Legal Clinic – Simcoe, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, located in Orillia, Ontario. She provides free legal advice and occasional representation to financially eligible individuals. Tasha has assisted individuals in a wide variety of disputes, including Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program appeals, landlord and tenant disputes, employment disputes, and human rights claims.
